The Oosterpark is a still largely undiscovered gem in Amsterdam East, where everyone can find their own place in their own way. A place to exercise, to reflect on the past, to barbecue, or simply to enjoy nature. Having a drink with friends on one of the terraces, surrounded by greenery — it truly feels like home to me.

frequent use of it. For me, it is an oasis in the city. Nature, people, animals—everyone finds a place there. With trees that are sometimes more than a century old and the many birds that have made the park their home. The Oosterpark is also a park where much is allowed and everyone is welcome. People walk, run, and play tennis there. You are allowed to cycle through it, and in certain areas dogs may roam off leash. Especially in summer, the park comes alive with picnics, playing children, barbecues, concerts, and small-scale festivals.
